About this design

西洋医学の根幹となった四体液説―「血液（GK.haima）」、「粘液（GK.phlegma）」、「黄胆汁（GK.chole）」、「黒胆汁（GK.melan chole）」の４種類の調和によって人の精神と身体の健康が保たれるとする考え方―は、人の性質にも影響を及ぼしていると考えられていました。

多血質〈Sanguine〉
社交的で、少々図々しいが気前が良い。娯楽が好きで好色。

粘液質〈Phlegmatic〉
優柔不断で臆病だが、穏やかで公平。食べることが好き。

黄胆汁質〈Choleric〉
荒々しい性格で熱血漢。短気だが行動力がある。

黒胆汁質〈Melancholic〉
寡黙で頑固、しかし注意深く明敏。狂気・精神錯乱と関連する性質と考えられたが、「天才」を生む性質とも言われる。
