About this design

江戸の花子供遊び十番組る組のロングスリーブTシャツです。

江戸の町ではたびたび火災に見舞われたため、江戸時代中期（1658年）頃に町人によって組織された町火消が成立しました。町火消は隅田川から西を担当するいろは組48組と、東の本所・深川を担当する北組・中組・南組が設けられ、それぞれが纏（まとい）と幟（のぼり）で組の目印としてしていました。

本デザインは、浮世絵師の歌川芳虎が1858年頃に描いた国立国会図書館所蔵の「江戸の花子供遊び」の錦絵を元に作成しています。
かつてはこのような火消や美人画などの錦絵が江戸の町の土産物として人気でした。
