About this design

長村はドローイングで動植物を描く作家です。鉛筆やクレヨン、水彩絵の具を用いて彼の手によって即興的に描き生み出さた生き物達は、どこかユーモラスな印象をもっていて、観る人の頬を緩ませます。
そして同時に、魚の鱗や植物の葉、鳥の羽を描く時、かならず反復された形状が出てきます。そのことは生物の多様性を感じることと同時に、あらゆる動植物はどこか繋がっているさえも感じさせます。
