About this design

タリスマン(タリズマン、talisman)とは、お守りのこと。言葉・文字のパワーがあらゆる魔物からあなたを守ってくれる魔除けのタリスマン(タリズマン)。自分の名前のイニシャル文字を強く意識すると、魔除けのタリスマンに変身して、あなたの魔除けのお守りになります。魔除けのタリスマンは、自ら決して攻撃しません。忍び寄る「魔」からひたすらあなたを守ります。世界の平和、人々の生活が安全で安心できることをいつも願っています。
現代人の多くは、安心できる生活を望んでいます。そんな想いをサポートする「お守り」を目的とし、2008年に縁起物キャラクタ―として開発しました。
キャラクターの表情は、仏像の不動明などに見られる「憤怒」の表情で、生命エネルギーの表現でもあります。キャラが持っている槍は、四方八方から向かってくる「魔物」に向って、放たれる８本の矢です。キャラのモコモコの形は、そのエネルギーの爆発、膨張を表わします。モチーフに文字を選んだのは、文字のもつ伝達能力は、一種のエネルギー(パワー)であるという観点にも着目し、それと、文字が身を守るという話は、小泉八雲(ラフカディオ・ハーン)の「耳無芳一の話」で般若心経を全身に書き、身を守るくだりがあり、その話にもヒントを得ました。単なる遊びではなく、文字を意識することで、より安心感を得る効果を期待する思いを込めました。想いも大きなエネルギー(パワー)です。AIに任せずに、あなたのお名前のイニシャルをタリスマンとしてお守りに…。
