About this design

五千人の給食のエピソード、または五千人の奇跡として知られる出来事は、イエス・キリストが少量の食べ物で大勢の群衆を食べさせたという奇跡を説明しています。この物語は、イエスの行った奇跡の中でも特に有名なものです。

エピソードによると、イエスは群衆に説教をしていましたが、夕方になり、人々が飢えていることが弟子たちによって指摘されます。地方にいたため、食べ物を買いに行く場所も近くにはありませんでした。弟子たちは人々を送り返して自分たちで食べ物を探させようと提案しますが、イエスは彼らに食べ物を与えるように命じます。

弟子たちは5つの大麦のパンと2匹の魚しか見つけることができず、それは明らかに数千人を養うには十分ではありませんでした。しかし、イエスはその食べ物を取り、天を仰ぎ、感謝の祈りをささげた後、弟子たちに配るように命じます。奇跡的に、その少量の食べ物が全員に行き渡り、全員が満腹になりました。さらに、残ったパンの破片が12かごにも満たされたと記録されています。
