About this design

私オーナーのお気に入りのグラフィックデザインを落とし込みました。
Doudou Bearらしいキャッチーなデザインになっています。

私のアーティストとしての作品には頻繁にこのような豹柄が描かれています。
ご存知だった方もいらっしゃるでしょうか？

豹柄というのは一般的にはギャルや大阪のおばちゃんがこよなく愛する柄で、だからこそイメージはそこまで良くはありませんよね。

でも私は豹柄含めアニマル柄にはとてつもない可能性を感じるのです。
今回のように普通の色とは異なったアニマル柄だと全く別物の柄のように感じませんか？？
とても新鮮ですよね。

怖くもないし、古臭くもない。
これっておもしろいですよね。

また、このデザインにはもう一つ私の作品によく登場する技法があります。

それは補色ドッキングです。

色相環でみたところの真反対の性質を持つ2色のことを補色といいまして、ピンクと緑は補色にあたります。

ファッションや絵画など様々なジャンルにおいて補色は嫌われます。

少し間違えると奇抜になりすぎたり、絵やファッションがまとまらなくなるからです。

補色の使われた物はとっても目立ちます。
多くの人が無意識にか意識的にか、アイドルのコンサートに行く時のうちわの文字は補色を使っていたりしませんか？？

補色って使い方次第で良にも悪にもなり得るのです。

私はそんな補色の二面性がお気に入りです。
扱いにくいけど憎めないやつっていませんか？
私にとってはそんな感じですね。

話が飛んでしまいましたが、補色やアニマル柄を使って新しい"かわいい" の可能性を模索した結果がこのデザインなのです。

このデザインのようにみなさんがこの服を着た時はとびっきりのビッグスマイルでありますように。
