大きな岩の裏に住んでいる猫の三兄弟は、春になると、泉のほとりの樹で過ごす。

一番上のミルクさんには、青い小鳥の友達がいる。
彼が樹に上がると、小鳥たちはやってきて、歌を歌い、爪にキスをする。
ミルクさんは毎日おやつを分けてあげる。
末っ子のアッシュくんは、それがちょっぴり羨ましい。

二番目のチャチャくんは、いつも麦わらをかぶって釣りをする。
魚はあんまり釣れないけれど、水面を見ているのが好きなのだ。
末っ子のアッシュくんは、それをカッコいいなぁと思ってる。
おウチでこっそりチャチャくんの麦わらをかぶってみたりする。

そして、アッシュくんは、いつもお花を摘んでいる。
おウチで待ってるママたちへのお土産に。
