＜Fluid ArtやPouring Artと自分の絵画技法について＞
このところYouTubeやInstagram等では、海外のフルイドアート作家やポーリングアート作家の技法を、
「そのまま真似して作品を量産している」
日本のモノマネ作家達の作品に、イイネがたくさんついたりしてるのを見かけるので、非常にガッカリしています。
そんなにモノマネ作家がいいですか？
この数年、海外でFluid ArtやPouring Artが大きく流行していますが、
自分はそれより10年以上先駆けて、
水性ペンキなどを流動させて模様をつくるMoving Colorsという技法を展開して来ました。
その技法は海外のFluid Art作家やPouring Art作家の複数の技法を10年以上先取りしたもので、海外作家より、自分の方が先駆者です。
日本でフルイドアートやポーリングアートをやっている人達は、それらの技法を「海外で最近新しく始まった技法です！」などと紹介していますが、大きな間違いです。
海外でそれらの技法が大きく流行し始めたのは2014年か2015年頃からですが、自分はそれより10年以上前からそう言った絵の具を流したり注いだりする技法を独自に追求して来ました。
Fluid(フルイド)は「流動する」とか「流す」という意味で、Pouring(ポーリング)は「注ぐ」という意味です。
日本の新人フルイドアート作家達は特徴的なセル模様(細胞や泡のような模様)をつくるのがフルイドアートだと錯覚している人もいるようですが、セル模様はフルイドアートやポーリングアートの技法の1つであって、それが基本の技法ではないです。
上に書いたように、Fluid(フルイド)は「流動する」とか「流す」という意味で、Pouring(ポーリング)は「注ぐ」という意味です。
だから「流す、注ぐ」というのが基本の技法です。
その為、海外やあるいは国内の画材メーカーのフルイドアートやポーリングアートの画材の技法説明には、セル模様のない作例が紹介されている事もあります。
自分の作品では特に圧倒的に美しい羽根模様の絵画は、海外フォーラムに投稿した際にも人気を得ました。
あるいは2019年にアートバトル京都(ホルベイン/TikTok協賛)に参加した際は、自分の絵の具を流す技法が会場で大きな注目を集め、取材に来ていたCBCテレビの番組「チャント！」で後日に注目の作家として紹介されたりもしています。
海外作家は自分より10年以上遅れてFluid ArtのDip技法という名でほぼ同じ羽根模様の技法を展開しています。
海外作家の真似をしてFluid ArtやPouring Artを始めた日本のフルイドアート作家は、自分より20年近く後から始めた人達です。
自分はそういったモノマネ作家ではなく、自分で考えて、こういった技法を独自に1999年からずっと継続して作品をつくり、あるいはライヴペイントやパフォーマンスアート公演でも披露して来ました。
他人のモノマネではない自分の作品をもっと見て貰えればと思います。

WARNING- Depending on the size and shape of the take-out cup, it may not be able to be used properly as a cup holder
- Immediately after the product arrives, there may be a lingering odor peculiar to ink, but this will lessen over time. If this bothers you, please wash and dry the product well before use
- Before use, clean the product well with a mild detergent.
- When bleaching the inside of the main unit, do not use chlorine bleach. Do not use chlorine bleach to bleach the inside of the main unit, as it may cause the paint to peel off
- If the printed area is rubbed or scratched, the paint may come off
- After use, wash with a sponge dipped in neutral detergent and wipe dry. Do not use scrubbers or polish as they may cause scratches
- Condensation may occur due to the temperature difference between the beverage and the product.
- Do not leave drinks in the bottle for long periods of time. It may cause decomposition or alteration
- Do not place the product on an unstable surface. Drinks may spill, causing burns or staining of objects
- Do not disinfect by boiling
- Do not leave the product in water, wash it whole, or soak it. It may cause rusting
- Do not add soups that contain salt, such as miso soup
- Do not use in microwave ovens, ovens, or freezers
- Do not use dishwasher/dryer
- The product may be damaged if dropped or subjected to a strong impact
- Do not place near fire or in high temperature areas.
- Do not use the product for any purpose other than its original intended use
- Keep out of the reach of small children
- It may leave a pre-treatment agent on the surface.
- Rubbing the pre-treatment agent with a sheet containing alcohol components or the like may cause damage to the print
- If you shake the unit, it may make a noise, but this will not affect the heat and cold retention effects
