About this design

真中の四角を漢字の「口」と見て、「吾唯足るを知る」と読み、これは仏垂般涅槃略説教誡経に説かれる「不知足者雖富而貧。知足之人雖貧而富。」に由来する。「足る」を知らなければ、五欲に振り回されるのみで、心が満ち足りることはない。しかし、「足る」を知る者は、物質的には貧しくとも、心は満ち足りているのである。
