これは、ドガが1885年頃に作成した2つの作品のバリエーションの2番目です（エルミタージュ美術館、サンクトペテルブルク）。このバージョンでは、彼は新しい技術を使用し、パステルを非常に多くの連続した層に適用して、顔料が磨き上げられ、下にある紙が繊維が緩むほどにこすられ、多くの小さな髪のように表面から突き出ました。ドガはまた、フィギュアのピンク色の肉をモデル化する際に、反自然なシャルトリューズと緑を強調しました。これは、おそらくスラットやゴッホなどの若い同時代の人々の作品における補色のコントラストの遊びに触発されたものです。
