About this design

聖武天皇（しょうむてんのう）の願いで745年に製作（せいさく）がはじまり、752年に完成しました。高さが約15メートルもあるとても大きな仏さまなので、『大仏さま』と呼ばれていますが、正式な名前は『盧舎那仏（るしゃなぶつ）』といいます。
聖武天皇は、意味もなく大きな仏さまを造ったわけではありません。

　天平時代は正倉院宝物（しょうそういんほうもつ）に代表（だいひょう）されるように華（はな）やかな時代（じだい）でしたが、政治的（せいじてき）な争（あらそ）いや、かんばつ・ききん、凶作（きょうさく）、地震（じしん）、天然痘（てんねんとう）の大流行（だいりゅうこう）など、とても苦しい時代でもありました。

　そこで聖武天皇は、仏教（ぶっきょう）の根本経典（こんぽんきょうてん）といわれる『華厳経（けごんきょう）』を政治の中心にすえて、人々の心が思いやりの精神（せいしん）でつながることができるよう、さまざまな政策（せいさく）を実行して行きます。

『華厳経』には、お釈迦（しゃか）さまの身長を10倍することによって、無限大（むげんだい）の宇宙（うちゅう）を表現（ひょうげん）することが説（と）かれています。

　東大寺の大仏さまは盧舎那仏（るしゃなぶつ）といって、宇宙（うちゅう）そのものを表しています。

スタッフレビュー

ゆるっとしたスタイルが好きなので、やや大きめにMサイズを選んで肩を落として着るのが定番です。だらしなくなりすぎないように裾はインすることが多いです。厚すぎず薄すぎずでちょうどよい生地です。

夏はこれ1枚で過ごすこともあるので、透けないよう暗めの色で着ています。素材は着ていて涼しいものだと感じます。ジャケットや上着にも合わせやすいので気に入っています。

普段はモノトーンになりがちですが、思い切ってピンクを購入しました！カラーバリエーションが豊富なのが嬉しいです。Lサイズで少し大きめサイズで着ています。柔らかい素材で着心地がとても良いので、シーンを問わずアクティブな場面でもリラックスしたい時間にも着たくなる一枚です。

ラフに着るのが好きで思いきってXXXLを選びました。ただ大きいだけになりがちなビッグサイズですが、スタンダードTシャツはダボダボになりすぎないサイズ感で見た目もキレイなままラフに着れます。素肌にそのまま着心地もよく気に入っています。
