ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!! I design this "ENOUGH" collection to support the black lives matter movement. All my profit for this collection donates to https://blacklivesmatter.com/. If you have any other suggestions about organization, let me know!!
In the aftermath of George Floyd’s killing, I have learned so many things and history about the black community in United States. Also, a few of my co-workers and friends shared their life stories last month. It was very sad and painful to hear all stories...
I decided to take action to support it.
Mieko is a designer born in Tokyo, now based in New York. She worked as a textile designer for 10 years at an apparel company after graduating from the Tokyo University of the Arts and moved to New York in 2016.
Mieko gets inspiration from Japanese underground culture, ‘80s new wave culture, and from club kids like Michael Alig (some of you may be familiar with the movie “Party Monster”). She brings slightly strange and quirky motifs to life with a cute twist with her bold choice of colors and humor.
