この蒸気機関車は、JR東日本が上越線の高崎駅～水上駅間にて運行している、SLぐんまみなかみの車両です。
写真はSLが入るホームではないホームで、出待ちして撮影しました。停車時間はまあまああるので、撮影してから向こう側のホームへ行って、列車に乗り込んでも大丈夫です。でも思わず撮影しすぎると、階段を駆け上らなければならないので、ハイヒールはかかない方がいいかも知れません。(笑)
運転手さんの背中しか写りませんでしたが、板ばね(サスペンションのバネ)が良い感じに撮れたかな～と思います。英語ではleaf springと言うようです。
SL大樹も乗りましたが走行する距離が短いですし、周辺の環境をおもんぱかってか、あまり勢いよく釜を炊いてないようで、どちらかというとSLみなかみや、秩父のパレオエクスプレスの方が、私はおすすめいたします。
!(^^)! まあ、D51は大型の機関車ですし、迫力がありますね。
