About this design

錦絵「尾上松助の松下造酒之進」のトートバッグです。

1794年5月から約10か月ほどの僅かな期間に役者絵・相撲絵など140数点を刊行し、忽然と姿を消した謎の絵師「東洲斎写楽（とうしゅうさいしゃらく）」が残した役者絵のグッズです。

本作品は、尾上松助が、演目「敵討乗合話（かたきうちのりあいばなし）」の松下造酒之進を演じたものが描かれています。松下造酒之進はこの芝居の敵役志賀大七に殺される役です。その後、松下造酒之進の娘の宮城野としのぶが仇討ちを遂げます。
