富田晃生はTV などでみた膨大な「映像」に登場する企業クレジットの「ロゴ」を、制作はハサミで形を作り透明なテープを巻く事で制作している。
彼は非常に高い映像記憶能力を有し、作品制作時は一切の資料を見る事なく正確に制作している。
制作の最終工程で使用される透明テープによって、作品は表面は光沢をもった硬質の質感となり、いわば「ロゴ」を映し出す「ディスプレイ」であり「外部記憶装置」でもある。

現在まで現存する富田作品は約700点が制作されている。
展覧会では大量の作品が並列的に展示されることも多く、観客は彼の作品の前に立った時、富田の記憶を通じた「日本の30年の映像・CMの歴史」を共有するのである。
また、創作に使用される素材は市販の画材を使用することはなく、家庭で使用された食料品や梱包からでたあらゆる商品のパッケージ箱を分解し使用している。
そのため、富田作品には「個人の消費の歴史」といった側面も有している。

His works are made up of a large number of company logos from a huge amount of images he saw on TV. He makes works by cutting papers and wrapping clear tape around it. He has a very high ability of memorization, so when he creates works he sees no materials, and creates exactly.
By the clear tape wrapped around the work in the end of creation, the texture of the work become hard and glossy, just like display project logos on it, or external storage devise.
He made about 700 works up to now. At exhibitions, his works are often displayed side by side, so when spectators stand in front of his works, they share with him the history of Japanese videos and TV commercials through his memory. Also, he makes works not from store-bought artist's materials but from packages of foodstuffs, sundries and so on, which he got from his home. In this way, his works have an aspect that they are the history of personal consumption.
