私は、服を大量生産している会社のもとで、アパレルスタッフとして働いていました。安くていいものをたくさん作る会社です。社会にとって、服飾産業は必要不可決です。
裸で歩くことはできないし、何より大半の人は、新しいトレンドやファッションを楽しみたいと思うし、素敵なことだと思います。私もそうしてきたから否定はできません。
ただ、その一方で、地球の社会問題に目を向けてほしいです。炭素の排出量は増え続け、地球温暖化の拍車に歯止めがかからない状態です。
洋服とファッションについて、一度考えてみて欲しいです。

私は不思議と、この言葉たちがファッションの一部だと感じました。

私が最高にかっこいいと思うファッションは、服を無駄に消費せず、その服を愛すること。好きでないもの、ときめかない服、今後着なくなるような服を必要以上に買わない。
その信念こそが、真にファッションを楽しんでいるようにも感じるのです。
私は、自分が着たいと思う服しか着ません。
服の数はそれほど多くなくても、クローゼットの服は、どれを着ても気分が上がるようにしています。そして、少ない服のおかげで、朝どれを着るか、考える時間がなくなりました。
