About this design

木花咲耶姫（コノハナサクヤヒメ）は、桜の如く華やかに咲いて、桜のように儚く散った絶世の美女。まさに美人薄命を絵に描いたような神様です。
天照大御神の天孫、瓊瓊杵尊（ニニギノミコト）に一目惚れされ、妻となったとあります。
また作者不明ではあるものの、平安時代の初期につくられたとされる「竹取物語」のかぐや姫のモデルだとも伝わっています。
主に火難除け、安産・子授けのほか、農業、漁業、織物業、酒造業、海上安全・航海安全などに関する御祭神です✨
