土方歳三（ひじかた としぞう）は、江戸時代末期に活動した「新選組（新撰組とも書く）」でナンバー2である「副長」を務めた人物。
新選組は、明治維新の混乱の中で江戸幕府の特別警察あるいは治安維持部隊のような仕事をした組織のこと。
幕末期の幕臣、新選組副長。蝦夷島政府陸軍奉行並。
諱は義豊、雅号は豊玉、家紋は左三つ巴。
新選組時代には、局長・近藤勇の右腕として組織を支え、戊辰戦争では旧幕軍側指揮官の一人として各地を転戦した。
「蝦夷島政府」では、軍事治安部門の責任者に任ぜられて指揮を執った。
明治2年5月11日（1869年6月20日）、戊辰戦争の最後の戦場になった箱館五稜郭の防衛戦で戦死。
