About this design

彼女はコーヒーを淹れる隙間時間に、手先を使ってビーズを縫い付けていた。ハマル族の文化で、コーヒーを振る舞うのは大事な儀式。未焙煎の豆で煮出すそのコーヒーは、一味違った香りと味わい。

エチオピアの首都から3日かけて訪れたこの村で、ハマル族の女性は赤い石の粉でヘアスタイルを整え、ビーズで装飾された皮の前掛けを身にまとう。入村料を払って訪れる観光客もいる中、彼らは日常の一部として着飾っていた。

ハマル族の人々は、伝統的な服装や装飾を村外でも身に着けている姿が見られる。彼らの生活と文化に触れる貴重な体験。エキゾチックなアフリカン・ビューティが満載のこの街、まさに息をのむ景色の連続。
