　ある朝、目覚めるとシュウ君がしゃべりだした！　転任する先生からもらったぬいぐるみは、実は銀河警察の刑事だった。ノベルは幽霊屋敷の探検中、謎の青い光で気を失った。指名手配犯「人喰らい」を追って地球へやってきたシュウ君は、そのときぬいぐるみに取り憑いたのだ。「人喰らい」は子どもの「可能性」を食べる宇宙生物だった。街に拡がる不審者の噂。ついにノベルの周囲にも魔の手が……。シュウ君とノベルは、連れ去られた同級生を救い出せるのか!?　ダークでポップな新世紀の児童文学。
