About this design
「クラスパー」は、軟骨魚類や昆虫において使用される特殊な器官です。軟骨魚類のクラスパーは、交尾の際に雌をしっかりと捕まえるために使われる一方、昆虫のクラスパーは把握器として機能します。
軟骨魚類のクラスパーは、腹びれの後方に位置し、交尾の際に雌の総排出腔に精液を送るために使用されます。特に、サメなどの一部の魚類では、クラスパーの一つが持ち上がり、特定の開口部から水が通るようになるという独特の交尾行動が見られます。
昆虫のクラスパーは、交尾の間に雌を把握しておく役割を果たします。これは昆虫学において非常に重要な役割を果たしており、交尾の成功率を高めるためのツールとして使用されます。
