「我が有るファッションこそ最高の意思表示」＝我が有る＝ガガール。」ガガールは我を持つあなたを応援します。いつかそれが芽（ga)となり画(ga)になりますように。1985年にフランス初となるストリートブランドとして産声を上げる。ついに2016年、ストリートファッションブームと共に日本にも上陸。 あのナ◯キやシュプリ◯ムといった数々のブランドともコラボしている。2016年には世界的スーパースターであるネイマ◯ルを起用したセンセーショナルなCMが世界中のストリートヘッズの心を掴んだ。ブランド名の由来は創業当初のデザイナーであるDaitai・de・Kamawangarnaが日本にルーツがあった事から日本語である「我がある」という言葉を英語表記としたのが始まり。彼は流行になれば皆同じ服を着る現代のファッションカルチャーに疑念を抱き、圧倒的なまでのオリジナリティを追求した。その熱き思いがブランド名にも込められたのだ。彼が死に際に放った言葉がこのブランドの社訓としてオフィスに刻まれている。 「オシャレとは服のことではない。それを選び身に纏いお金を払いタンスに入れ、そして鳥の鳴き声が聞こえる朝に我々の服を手に取る。この全てのつながりとそのとき抱いた気持ちがオシャレなのだ。」 数多くの有名人もこのブランドのファンを公言している(仮）
