全長：20~25mm
　いつも数匹で行動する丹碧の美しいカエル。若い頃は赤紫色をしていて、成熟してくると青みを増す。
　背中のくぼみに水を溜めて、幼体を運ぶことがわかっており、無精卵を与えるエッグフィーダーである。
　ぽっちゃり体型だが樹上型。
　活発ではなくあまり動かない。
　何でも食べる。
