カエルメイト(Frog-mates)より「エクレアマガエル」のグッズ。

和名：エクレアマガエル
学名：Hyla Eclair au chocolat
英名：Eclair Frog
全長：80~90mm
　甘いものが大好きすぎて、甘いものばかり食べていたら、いつの間にか、自分まで甘い匂いを発するようになっていたカエル。匂いは、体を覆っている粘液から発することが分かっていて、実はアロマオイルなどに活用されているらしい。
　意外と素早く、あまり鳴かないので見つけるのは難しいが、案外、町中でも水があるところでは見ることができる。
　エクレアマガエルはケーキなどの箱に忍び込んで、巧妙な盗み食いをするという言い伝えがあり、「ガマに菓子を食われた」ということわざがある。使用例は、とっておいたプリンをいつの間にか妹に食べられ「こりゃあガマに菓子を食われたな」といった具合。
　ケーキ屋から出てきたお客のスイーツが、いつの間にか食べられて無くなっていたというような、エクレアマガエルによる被害は意外と大きいのかもしれないが、自分で食べていながら忘れてしまったことの方が多いのは内緒である。
　エクレアマガエルは毒を持っていないが、箱に入っていると体表はチョコで覆われ、とても可愛らしいので、スイーツと間違えて食べないように気を付けたい。
