About this design

上に光をもたらす夜明けの女神。
ギリシャ神話に登場するアウローラはバラ色の肌と黄金色の神が美しい美女で地上に夜明けをもたらす女神。
古代の人々は、夜の暗さを追い払い、この世に光を与えてくれるのは、このオーロラ女神であると信じられていました。　曙を告げる女神の名前が、極地の空に華麗に舞う光に与えられるようになったのは17世紀になってからのことです。
