About this design

クリオネという名前で有名なこの生き物は、和名はハダカカメガイっていうんだって！巻貝の仲間だそう🐚🐚クリオネというのは学名からとられた愛称らしく、正式な学名は「クリオネ・リマキナ」で、なめくじのような海の女神という意味があります！！
クリオネは、パックリと割れた頭部から出現する｢バッカルコーン｣という六本の触手を用いるダイナミックな食事をすることで有名ですね！！詳しい生態はあまりよくわかっていないそうなんですが、植物性プランクトンを食べる幼生期を除くと、同じリマキナの仲間であるミジンウキマイマイ“しか”食べないとも言われているそう。その上、そのミジンウキマイマイというのはクリオネ以上に希少な生き物らしく、それ故に餌の確保がままならず、水族館でもクリオネを餓死させてしまうことも多いんだとか、、、
一般人でもクリオネは入手できなくはなさそうなんですが、ミジンウキマイマイはまず手に入らないとのこと。ふよふよ泳ぐ姿やギャップで飼育したくなる気持ちもわかりますが、安易で消費的な飼育は避けてほしいものですね！知らんけど！！

Printing Notice
