ほんのり甘い生地がカリっと揚がって、その中には魚肉ソーセージが入っていて甘じょっぱい好きを虜にする危険な食べ物です。
ケチャップ・マスタード有でも美味いし、なしでも美味いから、迷った時には2本買ってしまうという凶悪さも兼ね備える。
アメリカではコーンドックと呼ばれていて、日本はそれを輸入して「アメリカンドック」と呼んでいるそう。
最近ではこの甘い生地の中にチーズを入れたハッドグなどもあって、さらに胴周りを太くさせる。
