地蔵菩薩（じぞうぼさつ）は、仏教の信仰対象である菩薩の一尊。

サンスクリット語ではクシティ・ガルバ（क्षितिघर्भ [kSiti gharbha]）と言う。クシティは「大地」、ガルバは「胎内」「子宮」の意味で、意訳して「地蔵」としている。また持地、妙憧、無辺心とも訳される。三昧耶形は如意宝珠と幢幡（竿の先に吹き流しを付けた荘厳具）、錫杖。種子（種字）はカ (ha)。

大地が全ての命を育む力を蔵するように、苦悩の人々をその無限の大慈悲の心で包み込み、救う所から名付けられたとされる。日本における民間信仰では道祖神としての性格を持つと共に、「子供の守り神」として信じられており、よく子供が喜ぶお菓子が供えられている。
一般的に、親しみを込めて「お地蔵さん」、「お地蔵様」と呼ばれる。
