ジャコウネコ科の動物でクマのようなネコのような見た目から別名クマネコとも。
夜行性で昼間は木の穴などで休み、
主に木の上で生活するため、鋭いカギ状の爪や木に巻き付けバランスをとり体を支えることができる太く長い尻尾を持っています。
また、ビントロングは独特な体臭をしていて、香ばしいポップコーンのような香りがするんです。
