能　老松／おいまつ　〈小書・紅梅殿／こうばいどの〉

京都に住む梅津何某（うめづのなにがし）は、日ごろ、菅原道真（すがわらのみちざね）をまつる北野天満宮を信仰していましたが、霊夢を見て、従者たちとともに九州の、道真を葬った安楽寺へ向かいます。
そこで出会った老人は、いまは紅梅殿と言われている道真のもとに飛んできた「飛梅（とびうめ）」と、老松について語ります。

老人は、梅は、文学がすたれるとにおいも色も無くなったため「好文木（こうぶんぼく）」と呼ばれ、また松は、秦の始皇帝が雨宿りに寄ったとき、にわかに大木となって皇帝がぬれないよう枝をのばしたので「大夫（たゆう）」と呼ばれたことを語ります。
心ない草木でも、仏教の理（ことわり）を知っていて、だから紅梅殿も老松も、末社の神としてまつられていると。
その夜、紅梅殿と老松の神がすがたをあらわし、舞楽を舞います。

梅や松は、神々しさもありながら、庭先の身近な存在でもあるのがとても素敵です。
松と梅が泰平の世の春をことほぐ、めでたさ満載のお正月のようすです。
