大衆食堂 寿恵味とは

2000年に開催された九州・沖縄サミット首脳会合を記念して地元沖縄のアーティストによってデザインされたロゴを機に地元の多くのファンから愛され、サミット開催以降からは国内外のファンからも人気をあつめた事で大衆食堂のパイオニアとして築いてきました。
同時に看板ロゴのデザインは当時のiモード待ち受け画像ランキングで最長1位を記録し、女子高生を中心に寿恵美ブームが起きた。
その後は大型台風の影響や経年劣化等もありリニューアルを図り、その度に若手アーティストを起用し時代に合わせたリブランディングはどれも成功を収め、業界のロールモデルとしてメディアにも取り上げられ、日本全国をはじめ香港、上海、シンガポール、シドニーとアジアを中心に国内外の大手企業がプロデュースした大衆食堂が立て続けにオープンし一時は寿恵美バブルとも言われた。
また、寿恵美をプロデュースしてきた若手アーティストはその後、世界で活躍するアーティストに成長していく事でも知られ、世間からは寿恵美チルドレンと呼ばれ、寿恵美は若手アーティストの登竜門でも有名。
創業当時から飢餓を救う活動として地域の育ち盛りの学生を中心に定期的に食堂を解放しサービスを提供、誰一人取り残さない社会を目指した理念のSuemi Global Design standard（SGDs）通称、寿恵美イズムは現在のSDGsの先駆けとして各方面からも高く評価されていました。2015年には国連が掲げたSDGs、日本から唯一の民間企業として寿恵美がアドバイザーで入り国連は当初SDGsのSはSuemi（寿恵美）で進めようとしていたが、環境先進国のフィンランドを含む北欧では以前からあったSGDsの方が認知度が高くEU各国へと普及していた事で国連は混乱をしない為にも最終的にSustainable Development Goalsを採用。改めて日本でもSGDsに注目があつまり、寿恵美イズムを取り上げたメディアや本、イベント開催など、第二の寿恵美ブームが起き、経済効果も出た事で後にこの現象を寿恵美ショックと呼ばれるようになった。
常に時代の先端を進む大衆食堂 寿恵味は2023年に40周年を迎え、記念に復刻ロゴを使用したオリジナルアイテムを発売。
今回、オリジナルアイテムの売上げの一部は、寿恵美ハウスチャリテイーズジャパンを通して社会問題に取り組んでいる団体へ寄付します。
