世界には様々な人がいるということを表現しています。日々、自分の持っている特権の有り難みを忘れてしまったり、その特権で誰かを無意識のうちに傷つけてしまったり。
自分の持っている特権性を忘れぬよう、気軽に身につけられるものとして、今回はTシャツを作りました。
これからも学び続け、関心を持つことを忘れぬよう。
心にある少しの「違和感」をも逃さぬよう。

suzuriにてTシャツを作ることに決めた理由は、今回のTシャツに使用されている生地がオーガニックコットンであるということです。
環境にも人にもやさしい有機栽培のコットンを使用されていて、"みんなでちょっとずつ地球環境や生産者に貢献しよう"という想いから始まった「ORGABITS」さんの理念がとても好きだったので、今回はこちらより制作をすることにしました。
一般的なコットンの生産農家の平均寿命は約35歳と言われています。
今現在、ファストファッションが実現できているのは、「効率よく」「安値」で「大量」のコットンを生産／販売をできるようにと、必要以上の農薬や化学肥料を用い、安い人件費で現地の人に働いてもらっているためです。
そのようなことが減り、そしてこの事実を知らなかった人も、手に取り、少しでも自分が普段身につけているものへの意識を持ってもらえたらと思い、選んだ生地です。
着ている自分のことも好きになれるようなそんな優しい気持ちを感じられたらと思います。

WARNING- Traces of the pretreatment agent may remain on the printed surface, but this will be removed by washing.
