そんなある日の昼。
この家の息子の誕生日プレゼントとして、綺麗に包装された小さな箱がやってきた。
中身はなんだろう？
アヒルも子供もワクワクして箱を開けると、そこには…？
「あ…アヒルだ！」
フワフワの黄色の毛に包まれたそれは、黄色い嘴と黄色い足があった。
「ピヨピヨ」と鳴いている。
…どう考えてもヒヨコだ。
子供の親が言った。
「それはアヒルじゃなくてヒヨコだよ。」
しかし、
「アヒルだよ！ほら、一緒！」
…似てるだけだよ。
小さな手に持ち上げられながら、そう思った。
